A single solid brass hook in a rotatable stylized spiral. Modern, geometric hook supports what you hang to make your space feel good, including plants and mugs. Made by me in my Brooklyn studio, where my first principle in both product and process design is reducing harm to the earth.
*Low impact: I work with metal because it's beautiful, strong, and a true "loop" material. The vast majority of aluminum, stainless steel, and brass is recycled and infinitely recyclable.
*US based: Made in Brooklyn. Most materials, including all metal and all packaging, sourced from U.S. suppliers.
*Packaging & shipping: Zero-waste, plastic-free. Designed from the ground up. 100% post-consumer recycled and recyclable. Ground shipping to minimize emissions. Cardboard is backyard-biodegradable (wet and shred it to speed the roughly three-month process.)
*Design: Thoughtful, intentional postmodern design.
*Materials: Solid brass is a warm golden color and is uncoated. Ends are finished with minor sanding to round off sharp edges.
*Care: Brass will naturally take on a patina over time and is easy to buff to its original luster with brass polish pads, or can be coated with brass lacquer.
*Editioned: Made individually by hand. Part of an edition, with edition numbers inscribed on the package.
*Dimensions: Measures about 5" x 5". *Weight limit: 10 lbs. each.
*Life cycle: In normal use these hooks can be expected to be of service for multiple decades, whether they are kept polished or not. At the end of their life as home decor, they can be taken to a metal recycler to be sold back for reuse.
